I am a wife of 17 years and a mother to an awesome 8 year old boy! I am the owner of Cherished Times Photography. Check out my work at www.cherishedtimesphotography.blogspot.com. I have always loved photography and crafts. I can sew and make just about anything that I put my mind to.

My family has recently moved to another state, 9 hours away from family and friends!! Back in Tennessee I worked full time and didn't have a lot of time for big projects. We currently live in Illinois and I am not working.....for the moment. I am actively seeking employment (part-time) just to help ease the monetary tension and mostly to get me out of the house and be around other people, which oddly is not like me. Well I do like to talk, but I also love my time alone. I have been called a hermit in the past. It is different up here away from family and friends. I could call them when I'm in need of conversation, but it is not the same as being face to face with someone. In this technological age we tend to spend more time on electronic devices and not face to face. I am guilty of playing on my phone and computer and not being with my family too! We do use Skype to talk to family back in TN. I am trying to introduce more family time here at out house where we all unplug and spend time together. Sometimes we watch a movie or play games. My son has just really learned how to play Uno and he LOVES it!! Our nephew has come to live with us......he is 20 and we love having him here. He is like an older brother to my son. We have always wanted a big family, but I suppose God had different plans. We have tried for years to have a child, it was 8 years before my son came along. I had a miscarriage at 24 weeks a few years before I got pregnant with my son. I have had two other miscarriages (not that far along). I could say that we were not lucky, but I'd rather say that it wasn't meant to be! God has a reason for everything! We just have to understand and be patient, which is not one of my strong points.

Well enough rambling....this blog is for all my projects!! Set back and enjoy. I will post pics of my new projects and older projects that I have done........that is if I can find my step by step pictures. Our new house is a lot larger that the one we have in TN, so I am always looking for things to use to decorate with. I plan on doing it on a budget!
